Senior Policy Executive appointed for Economic Ministry

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has appointed an official to the position of Senior Policy Executive at Ministry of Economic Development.

President’s Office reports Ahmed Salim Saeed from Futtar at Fuvahmulah City was appointed to the post last Tuesday.

The Deputy Minister level position of Senior Policy Executive was created by President Yameen in December, 2015.

There are currently 25 senior policy executives working at nine government ministries, with 6 senior policy executives at the Ministry of Education alone.

There are four senior policy executives at Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure; three senior policy executives each at Ministry of Health and Ministry of Environment; two senior policy executives each at Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Gender and Family, Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture and Ministry of Youth Affairs; and one senior policy executive at Ministry of Defense.
