ACP Jamsheed demoted to Chief Superintendent

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mohamed Jamsheed has been demoted to Chief Superintendent of Police.

“Sun” has been informed Jamsheed was demoted last Sunday after an internal review into a complaint against him.

The demotion comes after Maldives Police Service dismissed him from his position as Head of Integrated Services Command and made the decision to transfer him to Addu City as a projects officer.

Jamsheed has been on leave since the decision to transfer him to Addu City.

Jamsheed was appointed Head of Integrated Services Command in 2016 during a shakeup within MPS.
