Maldives Police Service has refused to disclose information to the media regarding the High Court’s decision on the request for Monitor and Control (MoniCon) orders against nine individuals deemed to be a danger to society.
Local media sources have reported the High Court has granted the request for MoniCon orders against nine gang members.
When asked about the reports, the police media official said the police was doing everything necessary to execute the MoniCon orders. However, the media official refused to disclose whether the MoniCon orders have been issued or not.
