Minister: Tree Top Hospital will be revolutionary

Health Minister, Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim has said that the Tree Top Hospital developed in Hulhumalé is going to bring a revolution to the Maldivian health sector.

Minister Nazim made the remarks while talking to the press on his visit to the hospital today.

The Health Minister said that the development of a private hospital with President Yameen's forward thinking is going to make a lot of things easier and bring a lot of changes to the health sector and elevate the industry further.

He said that looking at the Tree Top Hospital would give an estimate to the progress in the health sector broght forth by President Yameen's government. And said that once the hospital opens, a number of treatments currently sought abroad will be available in the country.

Highlighting the treatment for cancer, heart diseases and other major illnesses which will become available at Tree Top Hospital, Minister Nazim said that it is means of a trust aside from the ease it will bring to the people.

Minister Nazim said his visit to the hospital showed that Tree Top Investments is holding up on delivering their promise and do not doubt that the best service will be available at the hospital. He said that the hospital would also provide employment opportunities for the Maldivian youth.

Assuring that Aasandha Insurance will be available at Tree Top Hospital, Minister Nazim said that the service will be available in it's true meaning and the opening of the hospital will minimizes the expenses for treatment from the hospitals abroad.

Tree Top Hospital has 200 beds with doctors from 30 countries. And while the hospital is primed for minor and major surgical procedures, a total of 700 employees would be providing services at the hospital. The hospital also have 48 private rooms for patients that need long term treatment at the hospital.

The hospital is also equipped with an MRI machine and a dialysis center where 12 people can get the procedure at a time.

Tree Top Hospital is set to open next month.
