Land reclamation begins for Hulhule-Hulhumale Highway

Land reclamation has begun to build the highway between Hulhule’ and Hulhumale’, which will connect with the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge under construction between Male’ City and Hulhule’.

Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu announced the work began this Thursday.

He said the land reclamation work will be complete within seven to ten days.

The highway project is run by Housing Development Corporation (HDC).

Dr. Muizzu had stated earlier that the highway project will be complete by April, 2018.
