Tourists arrive at the resort developed in Kooddoo

Tourists have starting arriving at the Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort, developed in Gaafu Alifu atoll Kooddoo in association with AccorHotels.

Developed opposite the Kooddo airport, the resort consists of a total 68 Villas;43 Water Villas and 25 Beach Villas. 20 of the Villas have 3x6 meter private swimming pools in them.

The interior of the resort explores the local culture of Maldives, with the use of vivid colors and decorative motifs in harmony with warm textures and local design touches.

The resort boasts a five-star PADI Dive and Water Sports Centre - Suvadiva Divers, a marine themed spa, a restaurant which offers all-day dining, a 50-meter lagoon-side swimming pool, fitness center, tennis court, Kids’ Club and off-island daytrips.

Mercure is a mid-scale brand of the French AccorHotels which operates over 700 hotels in 58 countries.

“We are delighted to offer one of the best value full-service hotels in the south of Maldives at a time when airlift and inbound markets are diversifying for properties outside of the luxury segment,” says Patrick Basset, Chief Operating Officer for AccorHotels, Upper Southeast and Northeast Asia—the French multinational hotel group which manages the property.

Mercure Maldives Kooddoo started welcoming guests on August 20.
