Saeedha Umar has been appointed the Chairperson at national bank, Bank of Maldives.
BML announced in a statement this Monday that Saeedha was appointed to the post during the Board meeting held last Sunday night.
Saeedha is the Policy Consultant at Ministry of Economic Development and Co-chair of the China-Maldives Free Trade Agreement Working Group. She is also a member of the Economic Empowerment of Women Council – established by the President.
The position of Chairperson at BML had laid vacant after the Chairperson of BML for the past two years – Fareeha Shareef – decided against running for the Board.
