Evaluations for brands nominated from North India for the South Asian Travel Awards 2017 have begun at the Udman Hotels and Resorts by Ferns N Petals in New Delhi.
28 brands operating in India have been nominated for the awards; they include regionally acclaimed brands.
Evaluations for brands nominated from South India have already been concluded. The presentations were held at The Chancery Pavilion in Bangalore.
Evaluations for brands nominated from North India began this Monday, with evaluations for brands nominated from Nepal and Bhutan to begin coming Tuesday.
SATA was developed and organized by Maldivian company, High Rise.
It is scheduled to begin in Equator Village, Addu City, Maldives on October 27.
Founder of High Rise, Ismail Hameed reported to “Sun” that SATA’s events will be held as a festival. The event scheduled for October 27, “SATA opportunity” will see participants being briefed on investment opportunities available in the South of Maldives.
“Fuvahmulah City Council and Addu City Council will join the event and share information on investment opportunities available there,” said Ismail.
The second and third event, “SATA Gala” and “SATA Celebrations” will be held on October 28.
Speaking during the function held to announce Equator Village as the Official Host of SATA 2017, Ismail said High Rise had decided to hold the award function in Addu City for the benefit and progress it would bring to the region.
He said High Rise excepted the award function to boost the Maldivian tourism industry.
