23-year-old stabbed inside a café’ dies

The 23-year-old man stabbed while in a restaurant in Male’ City has passed away from injuries sustained during the attack.

The young man was in the Terminal Café’ in Henveiru district when he was stabbed in the head, at approximately 6:30 pm on July 27.

The young man – Nadheem Abdul Raheem from Ibrahimi Hiyaa in H. A. Thakandhoo – was left brain dead in the attack and was treated at ADK Hospital.

Police media official reports Nadheem passed away this Saturday.

Eye witnesses report Nadheem was attacked by a group of four men wearing masks. They had fled the scene with the knife still lodged inside Nadheem. The knife was later removed by people at the café’.

No arrests have been made in the case yet.
