Police: No arrests made in relation to attack on Nadheem

Maldives Police Service has said that no arrests have been made following the stabbing inside a café in Malé City last night.

Severely injured in the attack is 23-year-old Nadheem Abdul Raheem (Haa Alifu Thakandhoo) currently being treated in ICU at ADK Hospital.

A witness to the crime said that the four masked assailants came on a motorcycle and stabbed Nadheem in the head inside the café and left the knife behind when they fled.

Talking to Sun Media regarding the attack, Media Officer of the police said that no arrests have been made so far and the investigation is ongoing.

The Media Officer also said that victim is still being in the ICU in critical condition.

A series of gang attacks have surfaced recently in the capital with two separate attacks last Tuesday night as well.
