MP Ameeth arrested

The MP for Maduvvari constituency, Mohamed Ameeth has been arrested.

He was arrested at his residence at Kasthoorimaage in Henveiru with a court order for his involvement in the breach through the police ranks to enter the parliament on Monday.

Police, too, tweeted confirming the arrest of the MP. But they did not give any further details on the matter.
