Maldives Police Service has said that the political rally being organized by the united opposition is an illegal one and the opposition leaders must take responsibility for it.
Speaking at the press conference held at Iskandharu Koshi today, Superintendent Ahmed Shifan said that the rally being organized by the opposition for tomorrow is not backed by any laws and taking part in it is an unlawful act.
He said that since the united opposition have repeated claimed themselves as the organizers of the rally, the opposition leaders must take responsibility for it.
Police have advised that no one join the rally set for tomorrow.
Superintendent Shifan said that they would not allow people to enter the area tomorrow as the rally set to start near the parliament tomorrow.
Although the police have made the remark, the opposition have not revealed where they would be starting the rally.
