Ruling party, PPM has started a campaign trip to the four constituencies set for the by-election.
On, 19 July, the Elections Commission decided that four constituencies at the parliament are vacant.
The constituencies set for by-elections are Thulusdhoo, Maduvvari, Dhiddhoo and Vilingili constituencies.
State Ministers including the Defence Minister, Adam Shareef Umar, Housing Minister, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and the Environment Minister, Thoriq Ibrahim joins the leading officials of the PPM in their campaign trip.
PPM has yet to announce the candidates for the constituencies.
While PPM have started the campaign for the by-election, the MPs who lost their seat for the constituencies have filed their case at the Supreme Court.
The four MPs lost their seat under the Supreme Court ruling which calls for it when parliamentarians change their political parties.
