Investigation ongoing into pistol found in Keyodhoo

Investigation is still ongoing into the pistol found in V. Keyodhoo, reports Maldives Police Service.

The pistol was found 20 days ago by a group of children playing on the island’s beach.

Police media official reported to “Sun” that the authority was conducting forensic analysis on the pistol, and that the investigation wasn’t yet complete.

No suspects have been arrested in the case so far.

A cache of weapons was previously found in the lagoon of B. Hibalhidhoo – among which contained weapons from the military armory.
