350 flats to be built near Rasfannu area - 120 flats to the government

Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has said that 350 flats will be built near Rasfannu area with high-end waterfront apartments under the mixed development project in the area and 120 flats will be given to the government.

Regarding the project, Dr. Muizzu said told Sun Media that the project has been contracted to Singapore's Chang Hua Construction.

The are for tthe mixed development project is from the futsal pitch behind Thaajuddeen School to the netball court at the Social Center.

Housing Minister said that the first four floors of the structure will be used for parking with the space for 500 cars and 300 motorcycles and would prevent traffic crowding in the area.

Aside from the flats, the structure would also have commercial facilities, retail outlets and sporting areas.

Dr. Muizzu said that the building would be to Singapore standards and will be 40 percent green and it will also create employment opportunities as well.
