Former prosecutor Hisham appointed Assistant AG

Former Senior Prosecutor at the Prosecutor General’s Office, Ahmed Hisham Wajeeh has been appointed Assistant Attorney General.

The appointment, this Wednesday, has been confirmed by the President’s Office.

Hisham had been the State prosecutor in a number of high-profile cases including the case against former Maldivian President Mohamed Nasheed, cases against former Vice President and Minister of Tourism Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Gafoor and major murder trials.
