Man found murdered in Ihavandhoo

A local man has been found dead in Haa Alifu Ihavandhoo.

Sources say that the man found dead is 54-year-old Ismail Umar from Lhaviyani atoll Hinnavaru.

The body was discovered around 4:15 p.m. inside the ice plant.

The MIFCO ice plant on Ihavandhoo is operated by three locals and one expatriate staff.

Although no arrests have been made so far, Maldives Police Service is investigating the crime.
