Man and woman arrested in connection with string of muggings

A man and a woman who were committing muggings in three areas of Malé City has been arrested by the Maldives Police Service.

Police said that they arrested a 38-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman who committing three muggings this morning in three different areas.

With their arrest, the stolen items were also recovered by the police. But no further details were given by the police.

Four days ago, police arrested a 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman in connection to a mugging where a man was robbed of a large sum of money.

There has been a rise in muggings in Malé City in the recent weeks.
