Death of Maldivian girl in Lanka under investigation

Maldives Police Service has started investigating the death of a four-year-old Maldivian girl in neighboring Sri Lanka.

MPS Spokesperson, Ahmed Shifan has provided confirmation to “Sun” that the authority is investigating such a case.

“Sun” has been informed that the preschooler had been living with her mother in Sri Lanka, and that her father is in prison. Both her mother and father are Maldivian.

Details of the girl’s death and the date of death is unclear at this point.
