Maldives Travel Awards 2017 launched; partnership agreements signed

Maldives Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) has launched Maldives Travel Awards 2017 and signed partnership agreements with its Platinum, Gold and Silver partners.

This year’s MTA was launched in a function held at Hulhule’ Island Hotel (HIH) on Wednesday night.

The Platinum Partner for MTA 2017 is Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).

The editions of the MTA will be held this year, and MACL has taken the title sponsorship of all three editions. This is the seventh consecutive year for MACL to take title sponsorship of the MTA.

The Gold Partner for the event is Alia Investment, and the Silver partners are Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), Allied Insurance, and Anantara Resorts Maldives.

The official Host Partner for the event is Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi.

The official Online Media Partner for the event is Sun Online.

Sun Media Group had already signed on as the Online Media Partner for the MTA but officially signed as a partner again in the function held last Wednesday night. The official partnership agreement was signed by President of MATATO, Abdulla Giyaas and Chief

Operating Officer of SMG, Minha Faiz.

This year’s MTA will have three editions; MTA People’s Edition, MTA Guesthouse Edition, and MTA Grand Gala.

MTA People’s Edition is scheduled to be held at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi on July 13, and will acknowledge and award the accomplishments of 10 select tourist firms.

“People’s Choice Edition will acknowledge people who have provided long service to the tourism industry, people who have brightened the name of the industry,” said Giyaas during TMA 2017’s launching.
