Nazim’s brother Azim arrested

Authorities have arrested the brother of imprisoned former Minister of Defense Colonel (Retired) Mohamed Nazim, former Managing Director of State Trading Organization (STO), Adam Azim.

Azim’s arrest warrant states the reasons for his arrest as encouraging and supporting illegally overthrowing a legally formed government, and attempting to create hatred and lack of confidence in the judiciary and spreading misinformation.

The arrest warrant reads there is high risk Azim may attempt to influence witnesses and hide evidence, and that he presents a danger to the community if he remains free.
