Fenaka Corporation and Island Aviation has signed a corporate travel agreement through which Maldivian will be undertaking all corporate air travel by Fenaka Corporation.
Island Aviation operates the national airline, Maldivian.
The corporate travel agreement was signed in a function held at Fenaka headquarters this Wednesday morning by Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation, Ahmed Shareef and Managing Director of Island Aviation, Abdul Haris.
Speaking during the function, Haris said Maldivian will be providing a discounted price for engineers and other staff of Fenaka Corporation who need to travel to powerhouses in the atolls, and for transportation of cargo to powerhouses in the atolls.
“Fenaka is a huge network. It manages an electrical network across the country. Through this agreement, it will be easier and faster to transport equipment needed for those powerhouses.
Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation, Shareef commented that the agreement provided huge conveniences in transport of staff and cargo across the country.
Shareef said Fenaka currently had 148 powerhouses in the country. And that the corporation needed to arrange for engineers and spare equipment to be transported from one island to the other fast.
He said the corporate travel agreement with Island Aviation provided a solution to the problem.
