Tourist staying at Kandooma Resort drowns

A tourist staying at Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives has drowned after venturing out for a swim.

Police media official identified the victim of the drowning as a 33-year-old Chinese man.

“Sun” has been informed the tourist went out for a swim with his wife on Monday afternoon. His body was found swept ashore on the beach of the resort at sunset.

Police said the case was reported to the authority at 8:30 pm, Monday night.

The body of the Chinese tourist has now been transported to Male’ City by the police who are investigating the case.
