Khaleel: There is no opposition leadership, government won’t be defeated

Secretary General of PPM and MP for Nilandhoo constituency, Abdulla Khaleel has said that the united movement of the opposition party is being run without a leadership and they cannot defeat the government.

The opposition movement against the government has been meeting foreign dignitaries and UN members.

MP Khaleel said that the opposition is trying to bring foreign influence to the country and it would not be allowed and criticized the opposition saying that the united opposition does not have any unity and every leader is working to gain the presidency for themselves.

Responding to the opposition claim to have enough votes to win a no confidence motion against the Speaker of the Parliament, Abdulla Maseeh Mohamed, Khaleel said that it is blatant lies and they do not have enough votes.

Khaleel said that if the opposition had the votes, they won’t be idle and would bring up the case even if the Parliament was on break.

A number of MPs supporting the government have been criticizing the oppositions.
