47th plane joins TMA fleet

World’s largest seaplane operator, Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) has brought in a new plane expanding the number of planes in their fleet to 47.

TMA said that the DHC-6 Twin Otter plane to join the fleet arrived yesterday evening from Calgreen, Canada.

A similar Twin Otter plane joined the TMA fleet late last month as well.

The airline company said that they are expanding their fleet to meet the extended capacity demands with the increased number of tourists visiting the Maldives and the new resorts being opened in the country.

TMA said that the addition of the new plane to their fleet has strengthened their title of the largest seaplane operator in the world.
