Both the date and location for Maldives Consumer Fair 2017 has been changed from April at Dharubaaruge to May 4 – May 6 at National Art Gallery.
Managing Director of event organizer Blak, Ismail Husham said the event was postponed in adherence to advise against public gatherings by Health Protection Agency due to outbreak of flu in the country.
Husham said the fair will now be held just before the month of Ramadan so that participants can run their Ramadan promotions and lucky draws at the fair.
The fair was scheduled to be held at Dharubaaruge, but will now be held at National Art Gallery like the previous years due to lack of availability of venue at the requested dates.
Husham said that about 25 businesses are participating in the Consumer Fair 2017 – all of which will be running special promotions.
He said there will be three or four lucky draws in progress every hour during the fair.
Husham said the event had been a huge success during the past years, and that the company aimed to draw in more crowds this year.
