Raudha’s Instagram account “disappears”

Instagram account of Maldivian model and medical student, Raudha Athif – found dead in her dorm room in Bangladesh on March 29 – has mysteriously “disappeared”.

Raudha’s Instagram account had more than 200 photographs when it was mysteriously deleted this Monday afternoon.

Raudha’s iPhone 7 and her MacBook are both with the Bangladesh police investigating her death.

Her family reports her phone has not been unlocked.

Instagram accounts of the deceased are removed by Instagram only when it receives an official request from an individual who is verified to be a member of the deceased’s family along with an official document such as a certificate of death.

A member of Raudha’s family reported they had made no such request.

This points out to another individual or group of individuals logging into her Instagram account and deactivating it.

The “disappearance” of Raudha’s Instagram account comes after Maldivian blogger “Muju” posted an article on his blog this Monday morning regarding matters which spiked his interest regarding Raudha’s Instagram.

Muju wrote that two Instagram accounts out of the 370 accounts followed by Raudha had been removed the days following her death – which he said belonged to close friends of Raudha – a girl from Kashmir and a boy from Bangladesh.

20-year-old Raudha was a student at Islami Bank Medical College in Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
