Police have arrested a fourth suspect in the murder of a foreign worker whose body was discovered washed up on the shores of L. Fonadhoo.
The victim, 27-year-old Bangladeshi citizen Hassan had been working at Fonadhoo for about four years.
His body was found washed up on the shores of Fonadhoo with stab wounds at around noon on March 30 after he was reported missing on March 27.
The fourth suspect, a 24-year-old foreigner was arrested by police on March 31.
The other three suspects arrested are also foreigners; two 35-year-old men and a 27-year-old man.
Court has granted a 15-day extension to the remand period of all four suspects.
Police reports officers from Serious and Organized Department have been sent to Fonadhoo to work with local police on the case.
