Leader of Jumhoory Party (JP), Maamingili MP Qasim Ibrahim has been summoned to police headquarters for questioning for the second time.
Qasim was summoned by police for questioning less than a week ago n March 29 for investigation into claims he was involved in bribing fellow parliamentarians ahead of the no-confidence vote on Speaker of People’s Majlis Abdulla Maseeh Mohamed.
Qasim was sent summons to attend police headquarters again at 9 pm this Saturday. But it was later moved to 4 pm, Sunday.
The reason for the second summons is unclear at this point.
