Azleen: President Yameen has brought progress to police service

Home Minister, Azleen Ahmed has said that at time where the state of the police service was at a concerned state, it was President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom that opened the door to fulfilling their constitutional responsibilities.

Speaking at the official ceremony to commemorate 84 years of police service in the Maldives, Home Minister Azleen said that a group of people attempted to smear the honor of the police some years ago and even the, the police were exemplary in their actions.

The Home Minister said that the police today have become a professional service and is positively received by the public.

Minister Azleen said that the police has seen development and progress along with modern resources in the President Yameen’s regime increasing the productivity and work efficiency leading to closing cases that used to day 160 days being closed in 30 days.

Maldive Police Service said that they are always working to provide the service close to the people and so have police stations in 116 islands.
