No confidence vote against Moosa on Agenda for 11 April

The no-confidence motion filed against the Vice President of the Parliament, Riko Moosa Manik filed by the oppositions have been put on the agenda for 11 April 2017.

The MPs were notified of the motion filed on 22 March with 15 signatures of the opposition MPs today.

Leading the motion is the MP for Dhiggaru constituency, Ahmed Faaris Maumoon who said that there are 15 signature on the motion because it was filed in haste and that they would get support from more members.

Responding to the allegations made by the oppositions claiming that the Parliament is being run according to the needs of a specific group, Moosa said that decisions made by the Parliament are according to the majority vote.
