Former President of Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed living in self-exile in UK, has arrived in Sri Lanka again.
When the former President arrived in Colombo last night, he was welcomed by the International Spokesperson of MDP living in Colombo, Hamid Abdulgafoor and a former Minister in the MDP government, Ahmed Naseem.

President Nasheed went to the UK for medical treatment in January 2016 while serving a 13-year-old prison sentence after being convicted terrorism for his involvement in the arrest of the Chief Judge of the Criminal Court, Abdulla Mohamed. He made a stop in Sri Lanka before going to the UK.
After acquiring political asylum in the UK, Nasheed has made a number of visits to Colombo hold important discussions with MDP officials.
