ADK: 30 years of service, eyes international accreditation

ADK Hospital, the largest private hospital in the country, sets its eyes on becoming an internationally accredited healthcare service provider as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.

ADK Hospital was established exactly 30 years ago – on March 15, 1987 – as “MediClinic”.

ADK Hospital released a press statement this Wednesday morning to mark its 30th anniversary, in which the hospital said its intentions remained to offer quality healthcare facilities for the Maldivian people from their home country.

The hospital said it wanted to guarantee healthcare for its patients by improving its facilities and staff, and aimed to become an internationally accredited healthcare service provider.

The hospital said it aimed to expand its services this year by opening a new building and theater complex; and acquiring additional facilities and introducing new services.

The hospital said it was invested in improving the lifestyle and health of the community. And initiated awareness campaigns and information sessions across the country for that purpose.

ADK Hospital, in its statement, thanked and commended all its staff – both past and present – for their service to the hospital; and its patients for their faith in the hospital.

“And we respectfully thank all patients who trusted us and obtained healthcare from this hospital. The constructive criticism shared with us by patients is a driving force behind our progress; we therefore say a special thanks to them as well,” read the statement.
