Ooredoo pledges assistance to Maldivian guesthouses

Ooredoo Maldives has partnered with Guesthouse Association of Maldives (GAM) to provide telecommunication and technological assistance to guesthouses operating in Maldives.

The partnership agreement was signed in a function held this Thursday at Ooredoo Maldives headquarters by CEO of Ooredoo Maldives – Vikram Sinha and President of GAM – Ahmed Karam.

CEO Sinha said Ooredoo hoped to provide telecommunication and technological solutions to Maldiivan guesthouses at a lower cost.

“We want to achieve two objectives. The first objective is to provide more convenient solutions to all telecom and IT needs of guesthouses. We have identified the needs. The second objective is to lower the price of these services,” said Sinha.

Sinha said that Ooredoo was committed to assisting Maldivian guesthouses, and pledged to spend funds from its Corporate Social Responsibility budget to assist the guesthouse businesses.

“It’s important to us that guesthouses are run well,” said Sinha.

President of GAM, Karam said he hoped to see good solutions to the telecommunication needs of guesthouse businesses through the partnership with Ooredoo.

Karam said that guesthouses were reliant on services of multiple other organizations, and offered for the opportunity of partnership to more organizations.
