Maldives Police Service has warned that activities were being planned to protest upcoming visits by heads of state and foreign dignitaries to Maldives over the coming days, and that such activities will not be tolerated by the agency.
The warning comes as King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud set to visit Maldives within the next two weeks.
Police issued a statement this Wednesday that it was privy to information activities were being planned which could tarnish the honor and respect due to foreign dignitaries.
It said police will not tolerate any such activity anywhere in Maldives. And that such action will be met with legal action.
