Champaa Afeef: Source of progress in Maldives government collaboration with private sector

Speaking at the inauguration of the installation of the water and sewage system in Kaafu atoll Dhiffushi by Meeru Island Resort and Spa run by Champaa family and Alifulhu Thuhthu Foundation, Afeef said that they have been receiving support from the government for all of their projects.

He said that no matter which government is in power, they need to work with the private sector and move in the same direction to bring progress to the country.

Praising the current government, Afeef said that he is sure that the country would develop with President Yameen’s economic policy.

Alifulhu Thuhthu Foundation was formed by the five Champaa siblings, Hussain Afeef, Mohamed Moosa (Uhthu) Abdul Sattar Moosa, Ahmed Moosa and Khadeeja Moosa honored by the name of their father, Moosa Ali, a.k.a. Alifulhu Thuhthu.

Aside from the installation of water and sewage systems in the islands, the foundation also provides higher education opportunities and build mosques in the islands.

And so three mosques have been completed by the foundation and handed over to the state and have four more mosques under construction.
