Shaheeg appointed to Civil Service Commission

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has appointed Ibrahim Shaheeg from B. Goidhoo to Civil Service Commission.

Shaheeg was sworn in as a member of CSC by Supreme Court judge, Judge Abdulla Areef, this Monday morning in a function held at President’s Office.

He was handed over his letter of appointment by President Yameen after he was sworn in.

Shaheeg secured approval of People’s Majlis for his nomination as a member of CSC with the vote of 49 lawmakers on February 15. 23 lawmakers voted to reject his nomination.

He was appointed to CSC in replacement of former member Jameela Ali Khalid following her appointment as the new Maldivian ambassador to Germany.
