750 people from Addu City join PPM

750 people from Addu City submitted application forms to join the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) in a function this Wednesday.

Application forms of the 750 people were accepted on behalf of PPM by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom during the “Addu Yageen” function held in celebration at Stelco.

Speaking during the function, Deputy Leader of PPM, Minister of Tourism Moosa Zameer said the part expected more people from Addu City to join PPM over the next two weeks.

He said that PPM and the people of Addu City had always had close ties with each other, and that so many young men and women joining PPM was a matter of great pride.

The function was attended by a number of Cabinet ministers, lawmakers and other government- aligned officials.
