M U Manik re-elected Chairman of MATI

Businessman Mohamed Umar Manik (M U Manik) has been re-elected Chairman of Maldives Association for Tourism Industry (MATI).

M U Manik, who is Chairman of Universal Enterprises, has been Chairman of MATI since it was founded 27 years ago.

He was re-appointed Chairman of MATI with a landslide vote during its annual general meeting held at Dharubaaruge this Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Villa Group, Qasim Ibrahim and Chairman of Crown Company, (Champa) Hussein Afeef were both re-elected Deputy Chairman.

Director of Crown Company, Ahmed Nazeer was re-elected Secretary-General of MATI; Assad Ali from Driftwood Maldives was elected Deputy Secretary-General; and Ahmed Hafeez from Lily Hotels was re-elected Financial Controller of MATI.

Those elected to the Executive Board includes six members who were re-elected and three new members.

7. Wisha Mahir (Universal Resorts)

8. Iyaz Waheed (Universal Resorts)

9. Dr. Abdulla Mausoom (General Manager of Sun Island Resort)
