88 vehicles brought in for MRDC

A total of 88 vehicles have been imported for the Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC).

CEO of MRDC, Ibrahim Abdul-Razzaq Haleem told Sun Media that the vehicles brought in today were acquired through the support given by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom to speed up their projects across the country.

Haleem said that USD 8 million project is underway to acquire 129 vehicles.

While 88 of the vehicles have been acquired, Haleem said that even now they are working to clear five excavators and five loaders at Maldives Ports Limited.

He said that the renewal of their vehicle fleet, they have resumed the projects with a new target to complete the ongoing projects within the first six months of 2017.

Haleem said that completing the projects as soon as possible and bringing further ease to the people is what President Yameen wants and the companies are working with the same goal.
