Fire incident at M. Maya

A fire incident has taken place at the Maafannu residence, Maya in Malé City. MNDF said that the fire was quickly extinguished.

Captain Ibrahim Azim of MNDF said that the incident took place tonight on the third floor of the house and that no one was injured in the incident.

He said that the incident was reported at 7:54 p.m. and the fire was controlled at 8:08 p.m. and the apartment’s kitchen sustained some damages but no one was injured.

The investigation is underway according to Captain Azim and the cause of the fire is unclear at this time.

A fire incident also took place at a carpentry on Roashanee Magu in Henveiru last Friday, 6 January 2017, as well.
