Dr. Muizzu: Disable access on pavements not being removed, but being improved

Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has said that the disable access to the sidewalk pavements on Majeedhee Magu is not being removed but some of them are being improved.

In two separate tweets tonight, the Minister said that some of the disable access are being improved and the rumors that they are being removed are false.

While the Housing Minister has made the remark, some people have criticized and made allegations on social media that the sidewalks are being raised and rebuilding the corners.

As part of the developments to Majeedhee Magu, the Housing Minister has lowered the corners of the sidewalks for easier access for wheelchairs and walking staff.
