Couple found dead in a house in Maaveyo Magu

A married couple have been found dead in an apartment in M. Light Signal – located in Maaveyo Magu of Male City.

The couple - a 50-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman - were discovered unresponsive by the police who responded to the call by residents of the apartment this Sunday morning.

Police said the case was reported to the authority after they failed to come out of their room after going to bed on Saturday night.

"Sun" has received confirmation both the man and woman are dead.

The bodies of the couple were put into an ambulance in body bags and transported to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

Both the man and woman are originally from Vilufushi.
