Ooredoo: Internet connectivity issues due to DDoS attacks

Telecom company, Ooredoo Maldives has announced that distributed denial-of-service attacks have affected its internet connectivity.

Ooredoo customers have been facing connectivity issues from both mobile and broadband internet services by Ooredoo since last week.

Assistant Public Relations Manager of Ooredoo Madives, Noora Ibrahim Zahir reported to “Sun” that the connectivity issues were a result of DDos attacks, and that the company was working on resolving the issue.

Noora reported that the company was not able to give an exact timeline over which the issue will be resolved, but that it was working with international agencies to resolve the issue.
