New IGMH ICu opens with increased capacity to 15 beds

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has improved the facilities at their ICU and begun service.

Previously, the IGMH ICU has only six beds in a very small area.

Director of Public Relations and Media Unit at IGMH, Ahmed Mausoom told Sun Media today that newly developed ICU at the previous location have been in use since Saturday with 15 beds.

The patient beds in the ICU are made so individual parts can be locked with a special bed for patients with infectious diseases.

“Now the place is bigger, space wise – all equipment can be installed.” Mauoom said.

Unlike before, modern resources have been installed at the ICU according to Mausoom, and so the patient can be weighted in bed along with arrangements for more mobility.

.Several development projects are underway at IGMH in an effort to improve services and introduce new facilities.
