Police: Battery explosion investigation ongoing, no arrests

Maldives Police Service has said that no arrests have been made so far in relation to the batteries that were set on fire and exploded near the Mahchangolhi Cemetery.

While the batteries were set on fire in a metal container, the explosion dispersed the batteries in short radius.

Police Media Official told Sun Media today that no arrests have been made so far in the case and the investigation is underway.

MNDF officers are also part of the investigation.

Explosive material were found in different areas of Malé City in the special operation following the arrest of them Vice President, Ahmed Adheeb in the corruption of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).
