Ooreodoo 4G+ to 40 more islands, nationwide before 15 January

Telecommunications Company, Ooredoo Maldives have expanded their 4G+ network to 40 more islands.

The company said that the service was expanded to the islands of Raa, Baa, Lhaviyani, Kaafu, Alifu Alifu, Alifu Dhaalu and Dhaalu atoll.

A special ceremony was held at Alifu Daalu Dhangethi to announce the expansion of the network.

Ooredoo Maldives said that the company aims to provide their 4G+ network nationwide before 15 January 2017.

CEO of Ooredoo Maldives, Vikram Singha said that expanding the 4G+ network in the Maldives is the most important investment by the company this year. In an effort to provide support in building a digital country, Mr. Vikram Singha said that providing a reliable network for businesses and individuals the goal of the company.

Ooredoo said that faster internet would be available with 4G+. And so data intensive business applications and multimedia applications can be used with ease along with large data downloads, real time video conferences, online streaming and high definition online games would be available easier.

Ooredoo now offers access to their 4G+ network from a 4G+ phone with a 4G SIM card without an extra charge.
