President’s Office announced this Thursday that Hussain Sham Adam from N. Fodhdhoo has been appointed Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury.
Sham reported to “Sun” that he will be joining office next Sunday, December 25.
He had previously worked as a senior official of Maldives Islamic Bank, and was appointed a director of Fenaka Corporation by Privatization and Corporatization Board on September 29.
Sham’s appointment increases the number of deputy ministers of Ministry of Finance and Treasury to three.
He joins current deputy ministers Dr. Aishath Muneeza and Abdul Haleem Abdul Gafoor.
