Man stabbed in Hithadhoo

A young man has been stabbed by a group in S. Hithadhoo.

Hussain Shafeeg, 20, of Hulhahi house in Hithadhoo was stabbed at around 18:00 today near Bank of Maldives on Bodu magu.

Shafeeg was with friends having a ‘jugo’ when he was attacked.

He sustained a 2-inch stab wound to his left shoulder.

Police said that he was attacked by a group of eight people, and that he is currently undergoing treatment at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital. His condition is not serious.

No arrests have been made so far.
