Immigration resumes accepting ADK medical reports of expats

Department of Immigration and Emigration has resumed accepting medical reports from ADK Hospital made for expatriate visa purposes.

Immigration stopped accepting medical reports from ADK Hospital and AMDC on 5 December 2016 following an ongoing investigation by the department. ADK Hospital has now been authorized to made medical reports for expatriates for visa purposes.

Information Officer of Immigration, Hassan Khaleel confirmed to Sun Media that ADK Hospital has now been authorized to make the medical report required for the expatriate visa. He said that the permit was given after a review but the noted problems are being looked into.

While ADK Hospital has been authorized starting today, Khaleel said that AMDC has not been given permission and is currently under review.

Expatriates in the Maldives have to submit their medical reports annually to the Department of Immigration along with foreigners applying for expatriate visa.
